New Direction

For the Future: Not many people voted on what I should do for the future, but it looks like of those who did vote preferred me to leave Flash behind and find other software to use. I think I saw that someone I follow had a tutorial about using some 3D software so that'll be the first thing I try. Once I figure out how to set up things I'll post about it. Playing my Flash Games on Windows: In order to play the flash games I made you'll need to get a copy of flash player 10. https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/ has a huge number of Flash players so you can play other games. The Ultimate version is a massive file, so I recommend just getting the Infinity version of the application. Once you have the file downloaded the only thing you need is in the Flashpoint 9.0 Infinity\FPSoftware\Flash directory. You're looking for flashplayer_10_3r183_90_win_sa.exe. Once you have access to the player just activate it and find the game swf file to play. On Mac: You can use Elmedia player to play the

As you've likely heard, Adobe Flash is being discontinued as of Jan 12th 2021. That means that my interactive works are going to no longer function. And as I am working with the Interactive/game parts of Flash converting them into an animation is not a proper solution. You should still be able to download the interactives, but since Flash player is being purged from Windows, you'll need an alternative player to make it run. With a quick google search I found a few options, and I'll check them more in depth myself soon. With my quick search it looks like the cheerpxflash one might be my preferred option. Maybe not as I can't figure where to download it :/ https://leaningtech.com/pages/cheerpxflash.html EDIT: I couldn't find any download links for that cheerpxflash so I've found a different one: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/supernova-swf-enabler/mhmphnocemakkjdampibehejoaleebpo Supernova is the extension that kongregate.com is using as the solution to running their

I've been starting work on the activities for my CGFG and felt that I should ask for some input involving the activities for the game. My current idea for them is to be a minigame which you can play to earn a high score, and then you can use the auto setting to perform that activity again with an effect related the highscore you have. This will make it so that, while they can have an effect on the gameplay, you aren't forced to do them that often. But this got me thinking about what people would want so I'm going to list some options. Like the last game, activities is kind of an extra tacked on thing which can be ignored if you don't want to do them. Doing them will grant bonuses and effects of course. 1 How should automated activities work in the game? A: Make them as planned, do them once, use the highscore value to determine the effectiveness of auto B: Playing always grants better results, auto gives some kind of middling result. C: Make auto decay or make the score reset every

Thanks for the watch!

So what happens now that Flash is dead and buried? Is there some alternative program that you can use to continue your work?

I can technically still use Flash, but not many people would be able to run the interactives. I'll look at options to convert them to other types, like html5 or something. I've also heard of a group working on an application which works in a similar way to Flash.

Groovy! I do hope something comes together that can allow you to keep things going. I'd hate to see your work and others like it vanish from the internet just because of the death of Flash.
